Ashliegh Gehl (she/her)

Children’s Literary Submissions Editor and Contributing Reviewer

Location: Belleville, Ontario which is is located on the territory of the Huron-Wendat, the Anishnaabeg, and the Haudenosaunee people

Ashliegh fell in love with children’s literature when reading C. S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia at a very young age and has been walking through wardrobes in search of other worlds ever since. Based in Belleville, Ontario, she works in the education sector in a public relations, marketing and communications capacity. She previously worked as a journalist and has written for the Montreal Gazette, Quill & Quire, Open Book: Ontario, Atlantic Books Today, Applied Arts and other Canadian publications. She was mentored by author and poet Helen Humphreys through Humber College’s Creative Writing program and is a member of both the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators and the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators & Performers.

Ashliegh serves as our Children’s Literary Submissions Editor. She will review submissions, vet them for publication, and diversify our published content alongside a small team of volunteers.
