Shantell or Shan (she or he) is a 2-spirit urban Inuk who grew up on the land and off the grid. Raised in a nomadic forager/hunter/farmer family all over Canada, she had no fixed address throughout much of her childhood. Shan currently resides on the Haldimand Tract in so-called Kitchener, Ontario where she is an advocate, storyteller, dancer, throat singer, writer, multidisciplinary artist, and chinchilla wrangler.
